MINIBIKE POLINI 911 GP5 REVERSE

    • Hallo,

habe den Beitrag und die Atworten daraus in einen eigenen Thread extrahiert.... So bleibt das ganze übersichtlicher ;)

ho says Polini minibike, also says races, Grand Prix, world-famous champions, like Valentino Rossi and Marco Melandri, who were part of the team Polini minibike when were budding champions. Polini minibikes have always been considered the best ones to start racing on tracks. They are wholly made in Italy, in the factory "Polini Motori" placed in Alzano Lombardo (Bergamo) and are featured by a regular EU Declaration. The new Polini minibike 911 GP5 is a more decisive answer to the dangerous clones coming from the Asiatic market.

IT ARRIVES AND SOON BECOMES A BEST SELLER
The new Polini minibike 911 GP5 completely changes the concept of minibike; it has two faces: one super-sporting and easy to drive for those who exploit it at a certain level and the other one challenging and extraordinary performing for those who are able to race on tracks and reach high performance. It is extraordinary steady as for the trajectory's planning, greatly handy, able to fully exploit the route's radius of the bends, perfectly balanced, exclusive; those who buy it have all the necessary requirements to aim at the platform in the Italian championship of minibikes or simply to enjoy themselves on tracks. The new Polini minibike 911 GP5 is completely different from the already well-known previous model GP4.

STEEL MOLYBDENUM-CHROMIUM FRAME AND REAR ADJUSTABLE
The new Polini minibike Reverse 911 GP5 distinguishes itself for the trellis frame that can be adjusted in the rear part. The main structure is realized with 18 steel-molybdenum-chromium tubes, which enable to increase the torsion and elasticity resistance. It assures the maximum road holding in the areas that are more subject to stress; the tubular steel used is not homogeneous, but has different diameters in various parts of the frame. The rear frame is made of tubular self-hardening steel. The high resistance steel fork has two rectangular swing arms, to achieve a better resistance. It features for the two light-alloy rods, which enable to adjust the position of the fore-carriage according to the features of the different tracks. This feature allows the pilot the best driving solution and an ideal distribution of the weights. It is also possible to adjust the set-up of the minibike to the features of the track with the maximum precision, by giving the saddle an amortizing effect.

      FORK
The new stiff fork has legs of Ø 25mm. Various parts feature for the light-alloy and for being milled from a block: the two fork feet, the two brackets carrying the brake calliper, the handlebar connection, the steering dumper connection. The two upper and lower fork plates, instead, are in ERGAL and milled from a block. The fork has helped strengthening the fore part of the new Polini minibike Reverse 911 GP5. The stability, the bend's insertion, the handiness and the precision during the trajectory's planning have been improved. And this means higher safety level. It is worth reminding that even the two bottoms of the silencer, the plate carrying the footboards and the clutch crankcase are in light-alloy and milled from a block.

      STEERING DAMPER
The frame has a hydraulic steering dumper adjustable at 12 positions. This solution has been studied in order to improve the stability and the handiness. The position is suitable to assure maximum protection of the dumper in the event of falls.

      POLINI "REVERSE" ENGINE
The heart of the 911 GP5 Reverse Polini minibike is the best performing and newest version of the famous Polini "Reverse" engine. The new engine distinguishes itself for the drastic reduction of the moment of inertia. The crankcase has smaller dimensions; it is compact and made of advanced technical solutions. The "Reverse" engine has a bore of 36 mm and a stroke of 39,2 mm that let you exploit at maximum the limit of the displacement, according to the Italian FM regulations. Crankcase and cylinder are in light- alloy. It has direct reed valve admission in the crankcase. The cooling pump is inside the crankcase (so it is no more in the outside and vulnerable part); in this way the cooling system is extremely efficient. The power is of about 14hp. The starter is brand new but always with pulling-cable, according to the Regulations. The "Reverse" engine is equipped with a PHBG 15 "Dell'Orto" carburettor. A new gears set is placed in the crankcase; they have been studied to reduce the transmission ratio. This technical solution is the main characteristic of the "Reverse" engine. It also allows using greatly sliding transmission system. The sprockets are smaller (and with less moment of inertia) while the front sprocket is bigger, with 10 teeth. The clutch is outside to improve the cooling and it is self-ventilated. The radiator improves the loss of heat. To underline is also the use of a new crankshaft, featured by a higher resistance and a different balancing, achieved through a specific tungsten insert.

      IGNITION AND ELECTRONIC BOX
The new ignition features a new 100% brass flywheel. The increase of the flywheel mass improves and makes the power output and the power curve a lot better. News for the electronic box too: now it's separate from the coil and it optimises the spark advance administrating the timing with better precision

      EXHAUST SYSTEM
The expansion and the end silencer are brand new and with a racing style. The exhaust system goes through the upper side of the frame and it ends under the rear seat. It improves the acceleration and the power output at every rpm. It is part of the new Technical Rules of the photometric tests of the Italian and European Minibikes Championship. The expansion chamber is made of P04 steel at low carbon content. The end silencer is in light-alloy and, as said before, its bottoms are milled from a block. One of the main features of the silencer is its practicality: it allows you changing the deadening material easily.

      BRAKING SYSTEM
It is new and featured by the hydraulic functioning. The levers are in light-alloy milled from a block. The floating front brake disc is of 148 mm with an anti-shock disc-guard; even the rear brake disk is new: it has a diameter of 130mm. The brake disc plane is characterised by radial cuts that improve the cooling system. The rear and front brake callipers are new; they have a sliding system driven by special bushes. Also the calliper bracket of the rear brake is new; the bigger friction surface of the brakes makes the braking system safer and more incisive.

      RIMS
They are identical to the sporting street bikes ones. They have a three spokes design and are realised in conch fused aluminium thanks to processing carried out in centres at numeric control. They have the characteristic to let the assembly of tubeless tyres. Measures: 90/65R6,5 T41 for the front one and 110/50 R6,5 T41 for the rear one.

      DIVISIBLE FAIRING
The styling is aggressive, as a true miniature of the MotoGP bike. What features the new Polini minibike 911 GP5 is the divisible fairing; this peculiarity has been studied to favour and increase the speed of the maintenance and of the setting-up processing during the competitions. The colouring is white with blue Polini decorations. The dimensions and weights are in conformity with the new 2008 FMI Rules. The maximum length is 1060mm, the breadth of the fairing is 240mm, the high of the seat is 460mm, the tank capacity is 1,5 litres and the weight is 22 Kg.

    • Was soll ich dazu sagen?
